Join the cast of the Magic City Nutcracker, Birmingham’s Community Nutcracker ballet. As an extension of the nonprofit, Magic City Performing Arts, this volunteer-based ballet will celebrate its 8th annual production by performing at the historic Lyric Theatre, December 4–5, 2021.

OPEN COMMUNITY AUDITION
Date: Saturday, August 21, 2021
Location: The Dance Foundation, 1715 27th Ct S, Homewood, AL 35209
TIMES:
Ages 13 - Adult/Advanced Dancers: 9:30am – 11:30am
(please bring pointe shoes if you have had two years of training or more)
Ages 5 – 8: 11:30am – 1:30pm
Ages 9 – 12: 1:30pm – 4:00pm
Adults: 4:00pm – 5:00pm
(adults interested in acting-based roles)
Please arrive 30 minutes before your time slot to register and take a headshot before your audition time. We may ask a dancer to stay for a callback audition.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Ladies and Girls: Black leotard, flesh-colored tights, ballet bun, ballet shoes, pointe shoes if you have had at least 2 years of pointe classes prior to audition date.
Gentlemen and Boys: White dance shirt; black dance tights or shorts; ballet shoes
COST: $10 per dancer (Cash, Venmo, or Check accepted)
